About our Wellness Community

When we first opened SFK, our aim was to create a Wellness Hub, a place where people interested in holistic health could gather, for workshops and talks, and other social events.

Just as we begun, with wonderful workshops such as our Fermentation and Food Photography workshops, Walk with a Doc initiative, Meditation classes, Herbal Medicine Pop-ups, and the many other events we organised for you, COVID-19 hit.

Like many businesses, this past year has provided many obstacles, but now as we enter a phased re-opening, we remember our motivation for opening SFK - which was to create a safe space for like-minded souls to come together, not only for delicious healthy food, but to be part of a community.

A community through which we motivate and inspire each other everyday to live healthier and more holistic lives. A community where time and consideration are given to all aspects of health, not just the food we eat, but mindset, spirituality, a sense of purpose and community.

So we’re back, and our desire to create the community is stronger than ever. But we can’t do it without you.

One thing in particular that this year has brought to the surface is that social isolation is not good for our mental, physical or spiritual wellbeing. As social beings, we have an innate desire for connection and unity, for family and friendship, for recognition and love, for calm and inner peace.

This is what we want to achieve with Soul Food Kitchen. We want to create a safe and nurturing space where you feel you belong, where you can not only nourish your body, but nurture your mind and soul.
