About The Event
Join David Rabone, our Spiritual Wellness Coach for an evening of healing meditation and mindful eating.
We live in a fast world, where multi-tasking is seen as something to be proud of. If we can squeeze enough activity and productivity into the day then it’s seen as a good day. This obviously can lead to STRESS, overwhelm, and very possibly a decline in health on all levels.
Eating is one of the most important things we do on a daily basis and yet, for many, very little awareness is given to this sacred act. Eating has become a multi-tasked activity, a means to an end, and consuming our meals in this way can only be detrimental to our overall health.
• eat in the car?
• eat on the bus, or train?
• eat at your desk?
• eat walking down the street?
• watch TV when you’re eating?
• scroll through your mobile phone when you’re eating?
• chat on the phone?
The list of stressful distractions is endless... The truth is, life is fast, and seems to be getting faster.
It’s a fact that when you eat when you’re stressed, you don’t digest your food properly, it can rot inside your gut, causing all kinds of health problems, and it can pass right through undigested. So what’s the solution? That’s right.. SLOW DOWN.
Soulful Eating is an invitation from Soul Food Kitchen to you, to slow down and relax, to take a break from the fast pace of life and set a new rhythm for your eating habits. Soulful eating will help you become present and consciously aware of what you’re eating and how it makes you feel moment to moment. Being in the now, fully embracing your meal, eating consciously is what Soulful Eating is all about.
David, with his 20 years of experience as a healer, will guide you through a healing meditation followed by a slow relaxing, meditative meal. Not only will you be in a heavenly relaxed state, but you will naturally ooze gratitude at what is on your plate, and saviour every last delicate bite. As we said before, eating is one of the most important things we can do in a day, and so we owe it to ourselves to not only eat the healthiest food, but eat in a space of peaceful relaxation, to find a new rhythm for eating that actually enhances our health.
