About The Event

Eat fabulous food and learn new skills from Claire bannerman from V for life - the UK charity working on behalf of older vegans and vegetarians.

With over 20 years food science and technical management experience, She specialize in bespoke food and nutrition training solutions. In addition, she is a REHIS accredited tutor and Healthyliving Awards Assessor for NHS Health Scotland. The one thing she loves more than eating and cooking vegan food is talking about vegan food and sharing our great recipes.

In this Veganising the Classics Workshop, She will show you how to create a "tumbledown" recipe that will save you time in the kitchen and get the most out of your ingredients to make flavourful mid week meals and snacks. Tumbledown menus are great for batch cooking saving you precious time through out the week.

"vegan tumble-down" menu

  • Spaghetti bolognese
  • Chilli non carne & pilau rice
  • Chilli burritos
  • Keema curry & flatbreads
  • Loaded nachos

During this workshop, Clare will demo how to make 5 dishes using the same base recipe. You will get the oppertunity to sample all the dishes through out the demo. You will then enjoy a delicious meal prepared by the Soul Food Kitchen chefs using Claires recipes. During which there will be a Q&A sessions with Claire herself.
